The 27-year-old announced at the beginning of April that he would take an indefinite break from football and IFK Norrköping.
The reason was a malignant cancerous tumor in the brain, he now announces in an interview on the club's website.
In May, Khazeni underwent a successful operation.
“I will never be healthy”
- I'm back on my feet and I don't know if I could have felt so much better than I do considering what I've been through.
I have had to process what happened for a few months now, he says in the interview.
Khazeni was back on the field throughout Norrköping's Thursday training, but outside of regular training sessions.
- I will never be healthy on paper, but I have to think as long as I feel healthy, I am healthy.
He says that he misses football but that it has not been his primary main focus.
When he told about the break in April, Norrköping's supporters responded with a big tifo for Khazeni.
They also surprised him with a fundraiser that resulted in 30,000 kroner for the player.
Something that moved him to tears.
- I have watched every match, and I especially remember that fundraiser.
I was very moved, and I was completely shocked when I saw tenfoot.
I sat at home and had tears in my eyes, everything was so fresh then.
It was a special feeling and I am very, very grateful for all the love I have received.
It has given me extra energy and I am so very grateful.
I haven't always had the energy to respond when people have contacted me, but I have seen what everyone has done for me and I am extremely grateful, he says to the website.
"Take it day by day"
A happy news for IFK Norrköping and football Sweden, but the future is still uncertain for Khazeni.
He describes that after the operation he had a headache, and that the goal every day was to get out of bed and take small walks.
It took a month before he physically felt that he was well.
In fact, it is not certain if he will be able to play football again.
- There is much that is still unclear.
I take it day by day and don't think about when, or even if, I will be able to play football again.
