The Kazoo Open Golf Championship in Wales, supported by former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, kicked off as part of the DB World Golf Tour, with the countdown to the season finale to be held at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai next November.

Football star Bill's passion for golf did not stop only at its practice, but also went beyond to support the establishment of this tournament for the second year in a row, until it became associated with his name, which reflects the growing popularity of golf around the world and its ability to make a positive impact on society.

Bale represented his country in 106 international matches, in addition to his career with clubs, most notably with Real Madrid, with whom he won the Champions League five times, in addition to many local and international titles.

"Last year's tournament was an exciting boost to golf, and this year will be even better," Gareth Bale said in a press release.

He added: “The competition course is a wonderful test for any golfer, and I am delighted to be the host of the tournament and also an encouragement to witness what promises to be four days of fantastic golf in a picturesque setting.”

The calendar of the DB World Golf Tour, which is sponsored by DP World, sees the holding of 45 tournaments in 24 countries around the world this season, including the tournaments that are held in the UAE: Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, Dubai Desert Classic Championship sponsored by Slync.io, Ras Al Khaimah Championship Al Khaimah, Ras Al Khaimah Classic Championship, and DB World Tour Championship.

The top 50 exclusives over the course of the season will qualify for the final tournament, the DB World Tour Championships at Jumeirah Golf Estates from 17-20 November, which will offer cash prizes of $10 million.
