Women's football broke TV audience records with the Women's Euro final between England and Germany.

The British channel, BBC One, recorded more than 17.4 million viewers for this match.

"It's coming home with the lionesses", the English broke the curse that had weighed on the national team since 1966 by winning the Women's Euro against Germany, in front of their home crowd.

They also broke the record for the most watched women's football match on British television by bringing together more than 17 million viewers for the final.

A remarkable audience which is accompanied by a record public present at Wembley Stadium, 87,192 people in a stadium which has a maximum capacity of 90,000 people.

A decent audience for the TF1 group

In France, the TF1 group co-broadcast the match with Canal+ before switching the match to TMC.

An average audience of 3.17 million viewers, 5 times less than the British channel.
