The home nation England has stood for an impressive championship.
Five straight wins, 20 goals scored and only one goal conceded against Spain in the quarter-finals.
In the final at a packed Wembley, the toughest opposition to date awaits.
The most European champions Germany, with their eight titles, the most recent from 2013. But Sarina Wiegman also knows what it's like to win.
In 2017, she took home the European Championship gold with the Netherlands.
- When you reach an EC final, you are one of the tournament's best teams.
I think we have a very good team.
We are not afraid of anyone, says the union captain.
The road to the final
Before the championship, England, as the home team, was one of the favourites.
A favoritism you have managed to live up to.
But Wiegman doesn't think it's been as easy as it might have looked.
- The season has been very good.
We passed the group stage relatively easily.
Or, it looked easy but it's never easy.
The quarter-final against Spain was really close, so it was exciting.
The match against Sweden looked a bit easier, but we had moments in that match where we had it more difficult, but also moments where we really dominated.
The last time England went to a major championship final was Euro 2009. And who but Germany were the opposition.
Then it ended with a great German victory with a whopping 6-2.
Maybe England will get their revenge tonight.
The EC final is broadcast on SVT2/Play starting at 17.00.
The match kicks off at 18.00.
