Zenit defeated Lokomotiv in the third round of the RPL

The meeting was held in St. Petersburg at the Gazprom Arena stadium and ended with a score of 5:0.

The goals were scored by Wendel (63rd minute), Claudinho (75th), Ivan Sergeev (81st, 90+2), Zelimkhan Bakaev (90+1, penalty).

Lokomotiv midfielder Dmitry Barinov was sent off in the 90th minute of the match.

Zenit after the match with the capital club topped the RPL standings with seven points.

Lokomotiv is in 12th place.

Zenit in the fourth round will play on the road with Akhmat on August 6.

Lokomotiv will play an away match against Krasnodar.

Earlier, Fakel played a draw with Dynamo in the third round of the RPL.
