The speed skating team that caused a drunk driving accident during training was suspended from qualification.

The Korea Ice Skating Federation took responsibility for the drunk driving accident that occurred inside the Jincheon Athlete's Village on the 22nd and imposed disciplinary suspensions on four athletes, including Beijing Olympic medalists Kim Min-seok and Jeong Jae-won, as well as Jeong Jae-woong and Jeong Seon-kyo.



They drank together at an outside restaurant and then moved to a car together. Jae-Woong Jeong was driving while returning to the athletes' village, and Min-Seok Kim was driving in the village and crashed into a sidewalk block.



Team coach Kim Jin-soo was also suspended due to negligence in management.



The Federation will confirm the suspension period at the Fair Committee next month.



Aside from the union disciplinary action, a police investigation has also begun.
