Brazil's women's national soccer team has reached the final of the Copa America for the ninth time, thereby qualifying for the 2023 World Cup and the 2024 Olympics.

Coach Pia Sundhage's team beat Paraguay 2-0 (2-0) in Bucaramanga in Colombia and will meet the hosts in the final on Sunday (2:00 a.m. CEST).

Ary Borges (16th) and Beatriz (28th) scored the goals for the Selecao feminino in their 100th international match.

After five wins with 19:0 goals, Brazil is the clear favorite in the final and is aiming for its eighth title.

Colombia beat Argentina 1-0 in the first semi-final and thus also qualified for the World Cup and the summer games in Paris.

In the match for third place on Saturday (2:00 a.m. CEST), Paraguay and Argentina will fight for the last direct South American starting place for the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand (July 20 to August 20, 2023).
