Brazil's women's national soccer team has reached the final of the Copa America for the ninth time, qualifying for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Coach Pia Sundhage's team beat Paraguay 2-0 (2-0) in Bucaramanga in Colombia and will now face the hosts in the final on Sunday (2:00 a.m. CEST).

Ary Borges (16th) and Beatriz (28th) scored the goals for the Selecao feminino in their 100th international match.

After five wins with 19:0 goals, Brazil is the clear favorite in the final and is aiming for its eighth title.

Colombia defeated Argentina (1-0) in the first semi-final and thus also qualified for the World Cup and the Olympics.

In the game for third place on Saturday (2:00 a.m. CEST), Paraguay and Argentina are fighting for the last direct South American starting place for the World Cup in summer 2023.
