$70,000 fine for trading tickets for the 2022 World Cup matches

The Qatari authorities announced the imposition of a fine of about $70,000 for anyone who trades tickets for the 2022 World Cup matches hosted by the gas-rich Gulf state, without authorization from the International Football Association (FIFA).

And the Qatari Ministry of Justice, through its Twitter account, published a tweet attached to an explanatory video, in which it said, "The law punishes a fine of no more than 250,000 riyals whoever issues, sells, resells or exchanges tickets without a license from FIFA."

She pointed out that this fine is based on "Law No. (10) of 2021 regarding measures to host the World Cup" expected between November 21 and December 18.
