The Steering Committee of the Swimming Federation held its first meeting headed by Abdullah Al-Wahaibi in order to discuss the message of the International Swimming Federation regarding the formation of the Steering Committee of the Federation’s work and the tasks entrusted to it, the most important of which is making the appropriate amendments to the statute in its last version, in addition to conducting the daily business of the Federation and organizing local tournaments and discussing National team plans.
According to a press statement issued by the Swimming Federation, the first meeting witnessed the attendance of all members of the committee, including Abdullah Al-Wahaibi, head of the committee, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa, Youssef Al-Raisi, Muhammad Al-Suwaidi and Muhammad Al-Hammadi. Responsible for following up on the day-to-day business of the Federation.
The statement added: "Mohammed Abdul Rahim took over the administrative and financial affairs file, while Youssef Al-Raisi took over the national teams committee to prepare for the upcoming participation, while the Legal Affairs Committee took charge of Dr. Ahmed Al-Mutawa and will work on amending the statute of the statute to present it to the General Assembly of the Swimming Federation, for approval, translation and sending it to the International Federation for approval. Then start conducting the electoral process for the union.”
The committee approved the international participation of the teams in the coming period, including participation in the World Youth Championship in Peru, in addition to participating in the Arab Swimming Championship for Sunni ages in Egypt next September, and the approval of participation in the Islamic Solidarity Course in Turkey with five swimmers, and the General Sports Authority will be addressed. , in order to set the schedule for the local championships.
