Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo commented for the first time on the news linking his team to the signing of Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo, during the current summer transfers.

But Cerezo ruled out concluding that deal, as he responded to the Spanish program "El Partidazo de COPE": "I don't know who invented the story of Cristiano Ronaldo, it is definitely (news) not true."
He added, "It is practically impossible for (Ronaldo) to come to Atletico Madrid."
It is noteworthy that Ronaldo had defended the colors of Real Madrid between 2009 and 2018, and led him to win several matches against his arch-rivals Atlético Madrid.
