Argentine media confirmed that Al Wasl reached an agreement with Argentine midfielder Jeronimo Poblet, to join the ranks of the “Emperor” during the current summer transfer period.

And the newspaper "TYC" reported that Argentine Jeronimo Poblet became a player in Al-Wasl, after he decided not to renew his contract with his Argentine club, Independiente, after the end of his loan to the Ukrainian club Metalist.

She added, "Poblet will go to Dubai this week to complete the contracting procedures after undergoing a medical examination, as the Argentine player will sign a contract for one season."

Jeronimo Poblet confirmed that he decided to leave Independiente due to the bad way the club management dealt with him, explaining: "There is a bad management that dealt with my current situation after my return from Ukraine, so I decided to leave and I cannot continue with the presence of the current administration."

Poblet, 29, plays in the midfield, having grown up in the junior team of the Argentine club Colon, and played with the first team for four years before going into a professional experience in the French club Metz in 2017 for one season, and then returned to Argentina again by joining San Lorenzo for two seasons, Then he played for the clubs of La Serena of Chile, Felizsarsfield of Argentina, Metalist of Ukraine and Independiente of Argentina.

Al Wasl’s contract with Jeronimo Poblet follows the failure of negotiations with Benfica to include Luis Miguel “Pizzi”, who reached an agreement with Al Wahda Club to join his ranks during the current transfer period.

Portuguese newspaper "Record" stated that Al Wahda coach, Carlos Carvalhal, played a major role in persuading Pizzi to join Al Annabi after he was close to moving to Al Wasl, noting that the Portuguese international's contract would extend for two seasons with Al Wahda Club.
