Yasser Al-Shanwani, a sports analyst and former Egyptian football player, published a video of two converting to Islam on his hands, documenting the moments when they pronounced the two testimonies, and the incident was widely welcomed on social media.

He added, "We announced their conversion to Islam in the prayer room at our workplace in London, and my colleagues call it Yasser Mosque, after me, and I was very moved, especially by the girl who almost cried, knowing that she had pronounced the shahada before the day of Arafa, but when I told her of the desire to repeat the shahada, she came and pronounced it." Testifying again with him in the presence of the two sheikhs.

Al-Shanwani continued, "Alisha is a Belgian girl and Eugene is a young man, born in England but of Nigerian origins, and they are co-workers, and thank God my good treatment with everyone contributed to their love for Islam.

The role of Salah and Al-Nani in spreading Islam

Al-Shanwani explained that “the commitment of the Egyptian professional stars in England to Islam, especially Mohamed Salah, the Liverpool star, and Mohamed El-Nani, who recently carried the captaincy of Arsenal, had a positive impact in introducing the British to Islam and even endearing it to some of them, and contributed to the fight against Islamophobia that was widespread before the advent of Salah, who With his behavior on and off the field, some Britons have pushed them to look for Islam and read about it, which is a very good thing."

Al-Shanwani has a close friendship with Salah and Al-Nani, and he appeared with them on many occasions.
