On June 30, the Hall of Fame Committee of the Chinese Basketball Association held its first meeting and determined that the first entry of the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame will be 25 members of the Hall of Fame and 1 group.
According to reports, the "25 Hall of Famers" include 15 Chinese basketball seniors who directly entered the hall, and the other 10 members include 7 athletes and 3 coaches.
"Fifty New China Basketball Players" (selected in 1999 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of New China) was the first group to enter the church.
A few days ago, the Chinese Basketball Association has announced the recommendation scope and standards for the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame - the scope of recommendation covers athletes, coaches, referees, special contributors, pioneers and collectives.
Different recommendation standards are set for each category. For example, athletes need to retire for more than 5 years (including 5 years) to meet certain honor requirements; coaches have been more than 20 years (including 20 years) from the date of coaching.
Only those who meet the relevant criteria can participate in the recommendation activities.
According to the Chinese Basketball Association, the Chinese Basketball Hall of Fame recommendation activity includes three stages: nomination, nomination and final review.
There will be 30 nominees in the nomination stage, and after the nomination and final review, 10 members will be finally recommended.
The nomination work is in charge of the "Nomination Committee", which is composed of units and groups, including members of the Chinese Basketball Association (36 seats), professional league clubs (44 seats), and sports colleges and departments (6 seats), etc. The first session has a total of 100 seats. .
Previously, the nomination manual for the first Hall of Fame nomination activity has been mailed to 100 nominating units.
Among them, the "Recommended Person List" covers more than 500 recommended persons, and each nominating committee needs to nominate 30 of them, fill in the "Nomination Form", and send it to the independent certification agency of this event.
At the beginning of August, the certification agency will submit a list of 30 nominees to the Hall of Fame Committee based on the final statistical results of the recovered "nomination form". After approval, the second phase of the nomination will be launched in late August.
The "Nomination Committee" is composed of 500 people from all fields of basketball, and each member recommends 16 people from the nomination list to fill in the nomination form.
According to the statistics of the certification agency and the Hall of Fame Committee, the final selection list is expected to be released by the end of September.
