Mutual of Omaha is parting ways with Henrik Stenson, according to a spokesperson who confirmed the information to ESPN.

The insurance company has been on Stenson's cap for several years.

But the Swedish Golf Association continues the collaboration, where he has the Stenson Sunesson Junior Challenge.

The collaboration continues - despite criticism of his choice to join the Saudi-funded LIV tour.

“Will decide after...”

- How it will be for the future, we will make a decision after the summer, but we are completing this year's activities where there is still a camp for para golf players in August, says general secretary Gunnar Håkansson at the Swedish Golf Association.

Stenson has held the competition for several years to grow youth activities for both girls and boys.

The competition is part of Henrik Stenson's work with the Henrik Stenson Foundation, which he started together with his wife.

- Henrik has collaborated for a long time with the Swedish Golf Association, both around paragolf and with his own junior competition together with Fanny Sunesson.

"Changes the view of him"

Earlier this summer, Stenson was inducted into Sweden's Golf Hall of Fame and is one of Sweden's best golfers of all time.

- I am quite sure that he himself realizes that this choice of path changes the view of him, Gunnar Håkansson told DN.

- They make their decisions, we have no influence on it, we can only think that it is extremely boring and bad choices.

It is obvious that it is at odds with the culture they come from, the Sports Sweden they have grown up in.

The DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour) has previously excluded members who have switched to the LIV Tour.

However, they are tight-lipped about the Swede.

- We are currently investigating all aspects of the tournament so we have no comments to give at this time, wrote Scott Crockett at DP World Tour's communications department to Sportbladet.
