The General Assembly of the UAE Arab Tennis Federation elected Nasser Yousef Al-Marzouqi, a member of the Federation, during the meeting held in Kuwait, while Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah won the presidency of the Federation.

The meeting took place in the presence of representatives of Arab federations from 18 countries, and Mahmoud Khalifa Al Balushi, UAE Board Member, represented the Emirates.

Al Marzouqi is the Secretary General of the Emirates Tennis Federation and a member of the Executive Office of the Asian Tennis Federation.

In turn, a member of the Federation, Mahmoud Al-Balushi, explained that «the General Assembly chose five members from among the 10 countries that were nominated for membership, and they are, in addition to the representative of the Emirates, each of: Khaled Talaat (Sudan), Osama Ismail (Algeria), Khaled Jamal Nafaa (Jordan), Maha Rasem Jarad (Palestine).
