Spanish tennis star Paula Padusa, ranked fourth in the world, visited the headquarters of the Dubai Council, after she joined the list of international sports stars who are based in Dubai for their residence and training.

The Spanish champion obtained the golden residency in the category of sports champions, after she became a permanent residence in Dana Al-Dunya, where she resides and trains to participate in international tournaments around the world.

"Paula" joined the Olympic champions residing in Dubai, led by the Danish Victor Axelsen, who won the badminton gold in the Tokyo Olympics, and champions in gymnastics, car racing, tennis, football players and coaches of various nationalities and international clubs.

The Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, received Paula Badusa, in the presence of the Director of Communication and Marketing Department of the Council, Khaled Al Awar, and the Head of the Women's Sports Development Department, Fawzia Faridoun, and the agent and coach of the Spanish player.

Hareb expressed his happiness with the continuous increase of stars and champions from various sports and nationalities who decide to reside in Dubai and enjoy the quality of life, training centers, sports and tourism facilities with international specifications, and major shopping centers.

Hareb gave an explanation to the Spanish champion about the support the sport receives from the wise leadership and the great diversity of tournaments organized in Dubai annually, which include a large number of major international sporting events and tournaments.

A statement from the Dubai Council said that Saeed Hareb confirmed to the world ranking that Dubai has become a preferred destination for international sports stars and the strongest clubs and teams, whether to set up training camps or stay on a continuous basis due to the availability of attractions, starting from the quality and standard of life, diversity and development of services, health sectors, transportation and communications, and the availability of international sports facilities Level and Golden Residency for Heroes, and more.

Paula Padusa also confirmed that she visits Dubai regularly to participate in the Dubai International Tennis Championships, as well as spend her vacations before deciding to settle permanently in Dubai.

She praised the lifestyle she lives in Dubai after she purchased a residential property in one of the modern areas, and confirmed her happiness with the availability of training centers in Dubai, which is considered the best in the world.

At the end of the visit, Hareb presented the heroine with the English version of the book "My Story" by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the shield of the Dubai Council.
