The Syrian basketball team ranked 83rd in the world after bidding farewell to the Asian Championship

The Syrian men's basketball team has advanced to the 83rd place in the world and 15th in Asia, according to the world classification issued by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), despite its early farewell from the Asian Championship for the teams currently being held in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta.

The Syrian team, in the new ranking of 117.9, surpassed Cyprus and Rwanda, who fell to the 84th and 85th places in the world, with a total of 115.9 and 113.5 points, knowing that the US team still retains the first place in the world rankings with 763.4 points, 39.6 points ahead of The Spanish national team is in second place.
