Tonight, two Swedish Olympic medalists, Daniel Ståhl and Simon Pettersson from last year, will start in the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Their regular coach Vesteinn Hafsteinsson is on sick leave at home for fatigue symptoms, but will have contact with Ståhl temporary coach Åke Ruus in the stands.

However, no direct SMS contact with Ståhl is possible.

- No nothing, I know exactly what I should do, says Ståhl to SVT Sport.

What does it mean that he is not in place?

- It's very boring of course.

But it is a good decision that he can stay at home and rest.

It has gone well anyway, I think, I have been trained through Vesteinn the last ten years to be well prepared regardless of whether he is with or not.

Ståhl comes closest from a calmer training period after a season that so far has meant a lot of competition.

Initially without any longer throws, but recently he has reached over 70 meters on a couple of occasions.

But the competition is greater than in a long time and the world setter has a humble attitude before the qualifiers.

- There are many guys who have thrown over 69-70 meters so it is extremely good competition.

The goal is to take me to the final so that's what matters.

The discus qualifier starts at 02.05 on Monday night and is broadcast on SVT1.
