First, Sang-hyeok Woo, who crossed 2m 28, took the joint first place and reached the final of the world championship for the first time in 23 years since Jin-taek Lee in 1999.

A strong competitor, Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Qatar's Basim also passed the preliminary round with Woo Sang-hyuk in joint 1st place. Italy's Tamberry, who shared the gold medal with Bashim in Tokyo, managed to overcome 2m 25 and 28 in the final 3rd round, and struggled to enter the final.



Choi Byeong-kwang, a male Gyeonggi-do, who participated in this event with Woo Sang-hyuk, placed 34th in the 20km race.
