Tiger Woods had no fun experience of the 150th edition of The Open after hitting six over par day one and three over par day two.

After hole 18, the golf icon walked off the course with tears in his eyes, and was greeted by standing ovations.

- It was very emotional for me.

I have been coming here since 1995. The fans, the ovations, the warmth ... it was an incredible feeling.

The reason is that it was probably his last round of The Open on the classic course in Scotland.

It has been speculated that the next time the competition takes place at ST Andrews is 2027 or 2030.

- I do not know if I will be able to play then.

It feels like this may have been my last British Open in St Andrews, says Woods.
