In May, Carl Bengtström broke a new personal record in the Diamond League in Eugene at 48.52.

Now he will compete there again, but now in the World Cup.

- I have driven here before and it ended in a personal record, says Carl Bengtström.

"Where I will have to perform"

- On paper, I will pass the three attempts.

I will put all my gunpowder towards the semifinals, this is where I will have to perform to reach the final and reload from there.

Previous experiences from competitions pave the way for good self-confidence.

- I have done some championships before, mainly indoors, which have been very successful.

In general, I have good self-confidence to manage many races.

The goal for the World Cup is clear

Before the 22-year-old enters the World Cup, his goal is clear: Personal record or final.

- My goal is to get to the final, those are the biggest goals.

But I will not be very sad if I do not manage to break a personal record.

- I would be happy with some of that.

On July 16 at 22.20 (Swedish time) it's time for the 400 meter hurdles for men.
