Algeria hand coach: Egypt has a generation that dominates Africa until 2030

Rabah Gharbi, coach of the first Algerian national handball team, said that the Egyptian team has a global character, performs European performance and has many distinguished players.

He added in the press conference after the two teams' match yesterday, Friday, in the African Handball Nations Championship, that his country missed many opportunities during the events of the first half of the match, which was held at Dr. Hassan Mustafa Hall in 6th of October City.

He stressed that the desert warriors will work to remedy the defeat quickly before facing the strong Democratic Republic of the Congo, which will be the beginning of restoring hope for the next world championship, scheduled to be held early next year in Sweden and Poland.

He explained that the Egyptian national team has a historical generation capable of dominating the African championships until 2030, as Egypt has a distinguished group of world-ranked players, and the sons of the Nile have distinguished rising generations that were recently able to crown the World Junior Championship and win the bronze of the World Youth Championship.

The handball team booked its place in the African Nations Handball Semi-finals, in addition to qualifying for the next World Handball Championship, after defeating its Algerian brother.

The handball team beat Algeria, 34-19, in the quarter-finals of the African Nations Handball Championship, which is currently being held in Cairo.

The Egyptian team ended the first half of the match with a big difference, as it succeeded in winning 20-8. In the second half, the Algerian team tried to reduce the difference and save face against the Pharaohs team, which increased the speed of the meeting and settled the second half in its favour, with a score of 34-19.

Tunisia managed to book the qualification for the World Cup and cross to the semi-finals of the African Nations Championship after defeating Congo, and Morocco overpowered Guinea, and Cape Verde managed to beat Angola, to complete the sides of the golden square in Egypt, Tunisia, Angola and Morocco.
