Woo Sang-hyeok easily passed the preliminary high jump at the World Championships held today (16th) in Eugene, Oregon, USA.



Woo Sang-hyuk, who took the first leap in Group A of the preliminary round, flew without hesitation.

Starting from 2m17 to 2m28, they easily crossed the bar without a single mistake, and enjoyed the game each time with various ceremonies.



With fewer than 12 athletes in Groups A and B, who surpassed 2m28, Woo Sang-hyeok, along with Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Bashim, and others tied for first place, advanced to the final.



Only 4 players, including Woo Sang-hyeok and Bashim, succeeded in all without a single failure up to 2m28.



Tokyo joint gold medalist Italy's Tamberry managed to pass the qualifiers in 11th overall over 2m28 in the final 3rd round.



Woo Sang-hyuk, who has confirmed his finals at the World Championships for the first time in 23 years since Jin-taek Lee, will challenge for the gold medal at the world championships for the first time in Korean track and field history on Tuesday.
