THE ESSENTIAL
The 12th stage of the Tour de France takes the riders from Briançon to Alpe d'Huez this Thursday at the top of the Col du Granon (165.1 km).
A second big meeting for the peloton after Wednesday's very eventful stage, with the revolution led by Jumbo-Visma and victory for Vingegaard.
There will be a terrible sequence: Galibier, Croix de Fer and Alpe d'Huez which risks doing further damage.
On July 14, we are all waiting for the victory of a French rider, Thibaut Pinot in the lead.

A nightmare for the peloton. After a daunting stage that took the Tour de France riders to the Col du Granon yesterday, here is a new trio of impressive cols today, with the Galibier, the Croix de Fer and the Alpe d'Huez to conclude. While the Jumbo-Visma and Vingegaard overthrew the Tour de France yesterday, what will Pogacar's strategy be today? The legs may squeak, but a great battle is still ahead.
