Daniel Ståhl is in Berkeley, California, and is honing the final details before the World Athletics Championships in Eugene.

On Friday, his temporary coach Åke Ruus goes over to support him and Simon Pettersson during the discus competitions.

What can you convey during the competitions?

- To have a certain calm and that they focus on the right things.

It is important to get started from the first cast.

- Then I will have SMS contact with Vesteinn.

He would sit up at night, so he can convey views during the competition, says Åke Ruus.

He announces that Hafsteinsson feels that he has made the right decision to stay at home, and is on the road to recovery, and therefore will be able to sit up at night.

"Tougher resistance than last year"

Åke himself has just returned home from the veteran WC in discus in Tampere, where he finished fourth.

What do you think about Daniel Ståhl's and Simon Pettersson's chances in the WC?

- They are in good shape, but the resistance is tougher than last year.

Medal chance for Daniel and final place for Simon is reasonable, so it can go a little plus and minus from it.
