Professional baseball Seibu has signed a contract with a training player catcher, Daichi Nakaguma, as a registered player under the control of being able to participate in a match of the 1st Army.

25-year-old Nakakuma joined Seibu in 2019 after passing through Tokuyama University from Kyushu Gakuin in Kumamoto Prefecture and finishing 3rd in the training draft.



This season, he has played 45 games with the 2nd army in the first position with the catcher so far, and has a batting average of 20%, 9 minutes, 6 RBIs, 1 home run, and 20 RBIs.



Nakakuma signed a contract with the team on the 13th as a controlled player who can participate in a match of the 1st army, and his uniform number has been changed from "127" to "64".



Nakakuma said, "I've set the stage for the real start from here, so I'll do my best to join the 1st army and contribute to the victory as soon as possible."



On top of that, he said, "I want to continue to be my own, muddy and hard-working batter, and to be the most promising batter here."
