It was in Karlstad's GP that Kim Amb injured himself.

Due to the pouring rain, the track was slippery and Amb slipped and injured his shoulder.

"I'm super sad, but that's for the best," he wrote on Instagram about the decision not to go to Eugene.

Amb has had a difficult season, but showed good form before the World Cup when he pulled in with 82.86 m at the Diamond League gala in Stockholm, and thus secured the ticket to the World Cup.

The World Cup in Eugene starts on Friday 15 July and is broadcast on SVT.
