It was a flat match for Malmö when they lost to Gif Sundsvall in the last round.

But the light blues bounced back immediately.

MFF was visited by Varberg on Saturday and won 3-0.

Victory organizers included Anders Christiansen and Jo Inge Berget.

The chances started after just over half an hour of play.

Attacking star Isaac Kiese Thelin came to a good position and sent off a finish - but Varberg's Fredrik Andersson saved.

A few minutes later, the season-ending blow for Malmö came.

Erdal Rakip grinned badly and was forced to step down.

He was replaced by Anders Christiansen.

Set dream goals

Just before half time, however, Malmö got a hole in Varberg.

Jo Inge Berget came in with speed in the penalty area and fell after a duel with a Varbergback.

The referee awarded a penalty to Malmö - and it put Berget himself to 1-0.

After the hour's play, Anders Christiansen showed his importance for his Malmö.

He got a nice pass from the 1-0 shooter Berget and advanced centrally to then fire a heavy distance shot that found its way into the left cross.

The scorer was then rounded off in the 87th minute.

Veljko Birmancevic, played by Eric Larsson, scored the last goal of the match.

Malmö will face IFK Norrköping in the next round.

Varberg is visited by Helsingborg.
