Tunisian tennis star Ons Jabeur achieved a historic achievement by qualifying for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships final, by defeating German Tatiana 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 today, Thursday, in the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Tunisian star became the first Arab and African to reach the final in one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, and she will meet in the final the winner of the other semi-final match between Kazakh Elina Rybakina and Romanian Simona Halep.

Before entering the court, American legend Billie Jean King said that Ons "uses tennis as a platform to help her country, Tunisia, Africa and the Arab countries."

Since her exit from the first round at Roland Garros this year after a surprise defeat, Ons Jaber has won 11 consecutive matches on grass courts, having reached the All England Club with one title in Berlin during the preparation period for the tournament.
