Sergey Karjakin continues his confrontation with the chess world.

And if earlier the grandmaster, who was suspended from competitions for half a year, criticized FIDE and planned to create an alternative federation for holding high-level international tournaments, this time he spoke rather harshly about the activities of the FSR.

According to the 2016 vice-world champion, there are a certain circle of people in the organization, including leaders, who frankly hinder the development of the sport in Russia.

In particular, they do little to promote and popularize chess, and do not interact at the proper level with the regions.

At the same time, the grandmaster stressed that Andrey Filatov's term at the head of the FSR is coming to an end, and elections of the organization's president will take place in December.

According to Karjakin, if the specialist remains at his post, he should completely change the team "to those who really love chess and their country."

The victory of Jan Nepomniachtchi at the Candidates Tournament, as Sergei notes, should not mislead the public.

In fact, chess in Russia is in decline, and it all started long before the pandemic and the special operation in Ukraine.

“I hope that the federation will finally start holding major tournaments within the country, thereby supporting its athletes.

In the meantime, this does not happen, some of our players have moved abroad and see no reason to return back.

The central house of the chess player on Gogolevsky Boulevard, which for many generations was a cult place where a huge number of different tournaments of the highest rank were held, is in danger of turning into a liberal circle of interests,” Karyakin wrote in his Telegram channel.

The executive director of the FSR, Mark Glukhovsky, who, together with a number of chess players, signed a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in early March with a request to stop the special operation in Ukraine, was subjected to separate criticism.

“He was the main ideologist and initiator of this letter, and he signed it very modestly -“ CCM, organizer ”, for some reason forgetting about his position.

By the way, after the start of the special operation, Glukhovsky calmly left for Israel, from where he continues to manage the activities of the FSR online!

Mr. Executive Director has not hidden his anti-state views for many years, and also frankly hinders the development of chess in Russia,” the grandmaster added.

Got for the signature in the letter and Nepomniachtchi.

According to Karjakin, in this way Yan opened his way to international competitions.

“He achieved what he wanted, and got the opportunity to participate in the Grand Chess Tour series, where Kasparov himself emphasized: Ian plays only because he signed this letter,” Sergei noted.

Most of the experts, to whom the criticism was addressed, decided to remain silent in this situation.

In particular, Glukhovsky refrained from making any comments.

The head of the FSR Andrey Filatov also tried to be as concise and restrained as possible, promising to take Karjakin's criticism into account in his future work.

“I am grateful to Sergei for his advice and ideas, and for drawing attention to the work of our federation.

It was especially interesting to hear that our chess is controlled from Israel, because they used to say that from the Kremlin.

And, in spite of everything, I won’t stop shaking his hand when we meet, because he is a person who has done a lot for chess in our country, ”TASS quoted Filatov as saying.

Grandmaster Sergey Shipov, in turn, is surprised by Karjakin's behavior.

In his opinion, in such difficult times, it is necessary to support each other and the federation, and not worsen the situation with new conflicts.

“Russian chess players, although not to the same extent as other sports, are still limited in their rights and opportunities.

They need to continue their careers.

And now it is absolutely inappropriate and untimely to arrange internal battles.

Find out who is more right and holy.

Very untimely.

Although one can understand Karjakin's emotions.

He proved to be like a lightning rod internationally.

He was disqualified, deprived of the well-deserved Candidates Tournament.

It turns out that all the blessings pour on Jan Nepomniachtchi, and Sergei is deprived of everything.

And they couldn't save him.

It seems that the federation did everything possible, but nothing happened.

Therefore, Karyakin has a question, what's next, ”Shipov said in an interview with RT.

The grandmaster also stood up for Glukhovsky.

As the expert noted, it is absolutely not important what views a person has, if he is a professional in his field.

“People of completely different worldviews and political views have gathered in the FSR.

But that never stopped them from working together.

And if we are talking about Mark Glukhovsky, he is a professional in his field, he does everything with high quality.

Karjakin's words are rather a consequence of political differences.

Maybe Mark played some role in the formation of the letter to the president, which annoys many, including Sergei.

Yes, with the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, he went abroad, like many others.

But it continues to work.

In the age of the Internet, this is quite possible.

By the way, Israel is not included in the list of unfriendly countries in relation to Russia, so there should not be any claims against it here either.

He is not sitting in Washington or London, ”the source explained to RT.

According to Shipov, now, on the contrary, it is necessary to try to retain the existing specialists as much as possible, since there are very few of them.

“Time to save people.

It is necessary to preserve the federation, cadres that do not lie on the road.

And if someone thinks that it is possible to bring a person from outside, to replace the same Glukhovsky, I assure you, this is not so.

A new employee has little chance to prove himself.

Because there is a huge specificity, experience is needed.

And right now you should not be engaged in the redistribution of power,” the grandmaster added.

Alexandra Kosteniuk spoke much more emotionally.

The world champion encouraged Karjakin to take up chess.

“Sometimes it is very difficult not to go to the checkmate.

Sergei, wake up!

Enough to curry favor, gloat, dance on the bones and slander.

Everyone has already understood what a patriot you are.

Do better chess, ”wrote the athlete.
