Like an air of Paris-Roubaix except that we are in July.

With its 19 kilometers of cobblestones, the fifth stage of the Tour de France, which takes place on Wednesday July 6, will connect Lille to Arenberg.

Spectacular guaranteed for one of the big highlights of this first week of the Tour de France.

If you live in the Lille metropolis, the best way to take advantage of it is to show up on Wednesday morning in the streets of Lille.

The start of the stage will be given on boulevard Hoover, from the headquarters of the MEL (European metropolis of Lille) at 1.35 p.m.

A tour in the city center of Lille

But first, the runners will first take a ride through the streets of Lille starting from the town hall to reach rue Pierre Mauroy, the Grand-Place, rue Nationale and boulevard de la Liberté before returning to the MEL.

After this tour of the city center, direction my towns of the metropolis like Wasquehal, Croix and especially Roubaix and its magnificent Barbieux park.

Then, it will be time to join the cobbled sectors on the side of Fressain.

In total, there will be eleven cobbled sections on the course, including that between Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes and Sars-et-Rosières, clearly the most difficult.

The arrival in Arenberg is scheduled around 5:20 p.m.

A word of advice: find out about the various road accesses before joining the route, as many roads will be closed to traffic on Wednesday.

Lille

Traveling to Lille and in the metropolis will be very complicated on Wednesday
