Real Madrid completed their next assignment this summer with the signing of Serbian striker Luka Jovic, who is set to join Fiorentina on a free transfer.

There was talk of the Serbian international moving to the Italian team on loan;

Real Madrid will pay half of his annual salary, but the last agreement stipulated that he would leave on a free transfer, and Fiorentina would pay his full salary.

Real Madrid will still own 50% of the attacker's rights, and therefore will receive half of any future selling fees.

That is why Meringue hopes to recover part of the 60 million euros he paid to the player in 2019 when he joined him from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic, 24, had a contract with Real Madrid until 2025, but now he will sign a new contract with Fiorentina until 2024.

This will not be the first time that Jovic has left the Santiago Bernabeu, as he returned to Eintracht Frankfurt on loan last season after failing to meet expectations in the Spanish capital.
