In the final, in front of some 25,000 spectators, the French Under-18s won thanks to a goal from Bordeaux midfielder Lenny Pirringuel in the 68th minute.

The Mediterranean Games are reserved for players born after January 1, 2004.

This performance is in addition to the many good results of the French youth teams in recent weeks, with in particular a title of European champion for men under 17 won in early June.

The French women's under-19 team is on its side engaged in the Euro and faces Norway in the semi-finals on Wednesday.

Les Bleuettes are defending champions.
