The DNCG, the financial policeman of French football, has just recorded the administrative demotion of the Girondins de Bordeaux in National 1 (third division).

It is therefore the filing for bankruptcy that now awaits this historic club in full descent into hell.

Bordeaux fans find it hard to believe.

On the side of the Girondins de Bordeaux, the atmosphere is grim.

The administrative demotion of the club to the third division was confirmed on Tuesday by the DNCG, the financial policeman of French football.

From now on, the club faces bankruptcy, due to the catastrophic state of its finances.

Contacted by Europe 1, two Bordeaux supporters, who have just heard the news on the Internet, do not even want to read the rest.

"I saw it, I stopped there, at the title, because I'm simply annoyed. It's been weeks that we haven't been able to raise funds for the survival of the club at all. Imagine the Girondins in National, it's just not possible for us, it's never happened to us in our history. I'm very sad, dejected. I don't know what to think honestly, it's as if the sky had just s 'collapse on Bordeaux', testifies one of them.

"A Boomerang Return"

The second speaks of a "huge blow" but evokes a "legitimate" sanction.

"Because we had tricks around what was really going on with the financial reality of the club. Here, today, we see it as a return of boomerang which is extremely painful in the head. The club risks disappearing for a moment on the map of French football, at least at the high level", notes this supporter, bitter.
