Blackburn, which plays in the first division in Britain, invited its Muslim fans to perform the Eid al-Adha prayer in its stadium.

The club announced - on its Twitter page - that the stadium will be ready to receive worshipers on the day of Eid.

Blackburn - who plays in the English Premier League (Championship) - did the same last Eid al-Fitr, when Muslims residing in the city prayed the Eid prayer inside its stadium, "Ewood Park".

The club announced in its statement that it will work to provide all services, and there will be buses to transport worshipers, and it is expected that about 3,000 worshipers will attend the stadium.

The club announced its pride in being the first club in Britain to do this, indicating that it would adhere to the date announced by Saudi Arabia for the feast.

The announcement was welcomed across the platforms, as many expressed their welcome for the club's decision, which also faced some criticism from its fans, who objected to the opening of the stadium at a time when ticket prices increased significantly.

It is noteworthy that the ancient club, founded in 1875, won the English Premier League 3 times, the last of which was the 1994-1995 season.

🏟️ We are proud to announce that, once again, we will be opening the doors at Ewood Park to our Muslim community to host the Eid-Ul-Adha prayer on Saturday July 9th.
