Chelsea offer an irresistible sum for De Ligt from Juve

Italian media revealed that Chelsea were close to contracting Dutchman Matthias de Ligt, coming from Juventus, after the "Blues" raised the financial compensation to a number that could not be rejected.

And the newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that Chelsea raised its offer to join De Ligt, to 80 million euros, to approach Juventus' evaluation of the deal (90 million euros).

She indicated that Juventus rejected the first offer from Chelsea regarding De Ligt, which amounted to only 40 million euros, in addition to the inclusion of one of the duo Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic in the deal.

Juventus CEO Maurizio Arrivabene confirmed earlier this week that De Ligt wants to leave the Italian team this summer.

The Dutch defender joined Juventus in the summer of 2019, for 85.5 million euros, from Ajax.

De Ligt's contract with the old lady expires in the summer of 2024, but he wants to leave and take a new experience.
