It was on June 13 that Maja Stark announced that she would take a break.

"My brain is tired and my body hurts, so I have to prioritize getting proper rest," she wrote on Instagram.

But before the competition in Berlin, she felt ready to return to the tour.

- I felt irritable and nervous.

I really wanted to do well.

I have not felt for a while that it has been important to win.

In recent months, I have only stuck there and seen how it goes.

I have been trying to get a salary for the week.

Now I was really tagged on winning and that means so much.

Then you get the extra focus and extra energy you need.

Stark says that the break was crucial for success again.

- I am very happy that I took the break.

If I had not taken the break, it would not have been good again until I had had some rest.

What have you been doing these weeks?

- I have played golf when I felt it.

I have tried to get the joy back.

She will continue to take the lessons from the two-week break with her in the future.

- I will really prioritize resting properly now in the future.

You earn so much more by being fresh before each competition.

To also be able to live a normal life outside the golf course and not feel that you need to train every day you are at home.

You can invent things at home that take a few days.

Dare to rest from the golf course is much more important than I have realized before.
