Helsingborg took the step back up to the Allsvenskan before this season.

But the return has been anything but successful.

After twelve games played, they have only played together five points and are last in the table.

Now, however, you get welcome reinforcement.

On Friday, the news came that midfielder Thomas Rogne, 32, is ready for the club.

- I am incredibly proud to sign for such a fine association as Helsingborgs IF.

It is a club that belongs in the upper part of Swedish football and you see that when you are at Olympia, a fantastic arena with fantastic fans and support, he says in a press release.

Past in IFK Gothenburg

The Norwegian is a familiar face to the Allsvenskan audience when he spent three seasons with IFK Gothenburg 2015-2017.

He most recently came from the Greek club Apollon Smyrnis.

- We are happy to bring in an experienced midfielder at a good age.

Thomas will contribute with leadership qualities and routine in a team where we currently have young players, says sports director Andreas Granqvist.

Earlier in the day, the news also came that Armin Gigovic is extending the agreement with Helsingborg.
