Veteran Linda Sällström has over the years played in several damallsvenska clubs and this year makes her fifth season in Skånska Vittsjö.

In 2018, she left the club for French Paris FC, where she stayed for three seasons.

But the time there did not turn out as she had hoped - the harsh climate and the great negativity broke her down.

- It went so far that I did not think football was fun at all.

I thought I would bite together, bet on the European Championships and after that I finally have to stop, then I do not have to play football, Sällström says to Yle.

Scolded by juniors

She says, among other things, that even junior players in the team scolded her.

- Damn sweep, that was the feedback you got.

They have barely played and so they come and just shout at me.

Then you just feel what the hell is this for?

The spring has been prone to injury for the 33-year-old who was pulled with an overload injury.

But now she will be ready for the European Championships and thanks to the move back to damallsvenskan, she has also found the joy of football again.

- It did not take long before I felt that now I do not want to quit at all.

I ran around the field and thought: what is this feeling?

This is fun!
