Swedish discus giant Daniel Ståhl was in good shape ahead of Thursday's Diamond League competition in Stockholm.

But once there, the 29-year-old did not get it.

He opened the competition tentatively and it took until the fifth throw before he got over 66 meters.

Then Ståhl hit with 67.57.

The throw was his longest for the evening.

He finished third - behind runner-up Mykolas Alekna (69.81) and winner Kristjan Ceh (70.02).

The Slovenian winner set a new record at Stockholm Stadium with his throw.
