Germany's basketball players have reached the next round of World Cup qualifiers for 2023 in Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines and celebrated their fourth win in a row.

The team around defensive player Dennis Schröder clearly won 88:57 (31:22) against outsiders Estonia in Tallinn on Thursday and will definitely be one of the three best teams in group D.

At the end of the first group phase there is a home game against Poland on Sunday (6:00 p.m. live on Magentasport) in Bremen.

Jubilar Schröder, who made his 50th international match after a break of almost three years, scored 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.

Christian Sengfelder (23 points, nine rebounds) and Isaac Bonga (21 points) also played well.

The team of national coach Gordon Herbert also got revenge for the first leg defeat in Nuremberg.

The victory was also important for the DBB team because the loss against Estonia will not be carried over if the Estonians stay in fourth and last place.

In the second phase three opponents from group C with European champions Slovenia, Finland, Sweden and Croatia are waiting.

Three out of six teams get a World Cup ticket.
