Mikael Ymer has attracted a lot of attention in the last 24 hours after his Zlatan comparison.

He has been sawn fresh on social media and in P4 Värmland, Swedish Open's tournament director Magnus Norman stated the following earlier today:

- I do not know if it is taken out of context, but the fact is that Mikael did not enter the tournament on his own ranking, had he been Zlatan he might have done it.

He has a little bit left to prove.

But hopefully Mikael will get there one day.

Yes, he's not really there yet - even if it's getting a little closer.

Ymer made a really good effort against the tenth-seeded Italian Jannik Sinner in the second round of Wimbledon.

Although he had desperately had a hard time creating any break situations during the first two sets, in the third Ymer started to find ways to disturb Sinner and after a strong final forcing he managed to win it 7-5.

But that wave of success he did not manage to surf on.

Instead, we saw Sinner put in a higher gear and play home the fourth set relatively comfortably with 6-2.

- I think he played really well, he is a real fighter and I wish him all the best, says Sinner in Eurosport.

New times for Ymer who has decided to go to Romanian Iasi to play a Challenger tournament during the same week as the Swedish Open is decided in Båstad.

A much simpler task than having to deal with the thoroughbred professionals in Båstad, which may be good for his self-confidence.
