A wide campaign of criticism escalated in the Yemeni media and popular circles after the circulation of a group of photos, the day before yesterday, Monday, showing the players of the junior national team lying on the floor of the Amman International Airport terminal in Jordan, waiting for the return flight.

And the "Al-Malaeb" account on Facebook published a set of photos and commented, "Painful and unfortunate pictures, members of the Yemeni team's delegation are sleeping on the ground at Queen Alia Airport in Amman, waiting for the date of their flight."

He explained that "the flight time is at 11:00 pm to King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, and the mission will remain there, transit until 7:00 pm, then continue the flight to Aden Airport, and then to Sanaa by land."

Journalists and activists expressed their anger at the neglect of the administrative staff of the Yemeni Football Association for the national team, considering them to be irresponsible practices that show the aspect of financial and administrative corruption in the first step after losing the juniors in the West Asian Championship qualifiers.

Yemeni activist Saleh Al-Haqab said - in a post on his official Facebook account - that the scenes in which the junior team appeared did not happen to any team in the world, and that it was related to mismanagement, "and financial matters have nothing to do with that."

On the other hand, journalist Majid Al Tayashi, who is close to the Minister of Youth and Sports, wondered why (members) of the team left the hotel in their place of residence and went to the airport before the flight, adding, "Who is responsible for this administrative error, and what is the position of the Football Association?"

Activists demanded that those responsible for delaying the team and waiting in the airport halls be held accountable, which sports journalist Bashir Sinan described as "photos that shake a country, not just a union or a ministry!"

Yemeni activists called on the youth team's condition during its victory in the West Asian Cup after its victory over its Saudi counterpart, how it was honored and providing gifts and financial support, and the state of the team after its exit from the West Asian Championship.
