The 32-year-old veteran actually made two SHL matches with Frölunda in the 2006/2007 season, but then disappeared to North America where there have been 327 points (118 + 209) in 709 matches in the NHL.

Mainly in the Arizona Coyotes.

He has spent the last two seasons in Lugano, Switzerland.

Bödker has also played both the World Cup (seven tournaments) and the Olympics for the Danish national team.

- A very skilled player both with and without the puck.

He likes to build his game with his fine skating and will fit well into our game with a lot of speed.

He is extremely motivated to come to HV71 and it will be exciting to see him in the SHL and in the HV jersey, says Kent Norberg, sports manager in HV71, in a press release.

Bödker has signed a one-year contract with Jönköpingsklubben.

- HV71 is a club with proud traditions and a real hockey city and it will be really fun to be a part of.

I hope to be able to contribute both with good play, routine and fun hockey, says the 180 centimeter tall and 94 kilo Danish.
