In addition to Hedman's Stanley Cup gold in 2021 and Edin's Olympic and World Cup gold, Martin Haarahiltunen won World Cup gold in ice racing, Maja Viström won the match in the World Cup final in floorball and Frida Westman has established herself in the world elite in ski jumping.

Achievements that contributed to several jury members, for example Chris Härenstam, had Örnsköldsvik on their top 10 list.

18 jury points meant place 18 in total, the city's best ranking in this ranking for the first time since the debut year 2011 which it places on the list of the 25 best cities.

Kristianstad with its handball masters and football ladies in the lead got 14 jury points and place 19, the city has an unusual evenness on this list.

Eight of the last ten years have ended up between places 16-24.

Jönköping's worst in a long time

A city that is usually at the top of this list but is not this year is Jönköping.

Winner 2017, second 2020 but this year only in 22nd place with only seven points from the jury.

HV71's years in the Allsvenskan and relegations to both Wetterbygden basketball and JIK floorball contributed to the slide, even though the width is still impressive.

Lidköping with Villa's successes, Eskilstuna with Smedernas final comeback and Borås with Elfsborg's fine last year are other cities that reach places 18-25, see the list below.

The winner will be crowned on Sunday 3 July.
