Morocco national football team wins Arab Futsal Cup

The Moroccan national team was crowned champion of the Arab Cup in futsal after beating its Iraqi counterpart by three clean goals in the final match held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The coronation was attended by Deputy Sports Minister Badr Abdel Rahman Al-Qadi and the ambassadors of Morocco and Iraq in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In the individual awards, Iraq’s goalkeeper Zaher Hadi won the best goalkeeper award in the tournament, Kuwait’s Abdul Rahman Al-Taweel won the tournament’s top scorer award, and the best player award in the final went to Moroccan Anas Al-Ayan, and Egypt’s team won the fair play award.

The match witnessed a clear superiority by the Moroccan team players in most of the match, as the first half ended with a clean goal before the Moroccan players scored two consecutive goals. The Moroccan team reached the final after beating its Egyptian counterpart (5-2), while Iraq reached the final by winning Kuwait (2-1).
