Elias Ymer got a place at Wimbledon after last year's runner-up Matteo Berrettini suffered a corona. But even though he struggled well, he was never really close to disturbing Chilean Cristian Garin in the first round - and in the end, the 26-year-old lost the match in three straight sets.
After losing the serve twice during the first set and losing it 6-3, Elias Ymer went out and took command directly in both the second and third sets by breaking Cristian Garin's serve early.
But despite the early superiors, Ymer did not manage to tie the knot and in the end he lost the match in three straight sets (3-6, 5-7 and 4-6) against the much better ranked Garin.
