Exactly a month ago, chaos seized the surroundings of the Stade de France before the Champions League final won by Real Madrid against Liverpool (1-0).

This Tuesday, for the first time, Gérald Darmanin sketched a mea culpa, after having discarded himself for a long time on Liverpool supporters.

"Should the Stade de France have been better managed, the answer is yes," said the Minister of the Interior on RTL.

Do I have any part of the responsibility, the answer is yes.

Bankruptcy in the fight against delinquency

The recent winner of the legislative elections in the 10th district of the North, however, did not flagellate throughout his speech.

He thus assured that there had been “no difficulty” during the three meetings organized since this disaster May 28 in the Dionysian enclosure (France-Denmark and France-Croatia in the League of Nations football, Castres-Montpellier in final of the Top 14 rugby).

“I changed the organization, I doubled the means that were missing, no doubt, to fight against delinquency, because if there is something that went wrong at the Stade de France, it is the fight against delinquency”, thus struck the minister, while covering the much discussed prefect of police Didier Lallement, who “did his job that evening”, according to Gérald Darmanin.

Which, however, insisted on the necessary “organizational change to be made”.
