The Football Association discusses the proposed amendments to the “match protocol”

The committee supervising the implementation of the matches protocol in the Football Association held its meeting yesterday, headed by Dr. For the launch of the new season, in light of its continuous efforts to preserve the safety of all Emirati football members.

Dr. Mustafa Al-Hashemi said in a press statement: “The meeting reviewed the amendments that may occur to the match protocol, and all matters related to the nature of the required examinations, their duration, validity, numbers, and match operations procedures to be applied in the next sports season.”

He added, "The proposed amendments will be discussed at a later time with the Sports Medicine Committee and the UAE Professional League, after which the final draft of the match protocol will be completed and presented to the competent authorities in the country for approval before approval by the Football Association Board of Directors."

He stressed that the directives of the General Secretariat of the Football Association are based on the importance of preserving the gains that we succeeded in achieving during the past sports season, which witnessed concerted efforts and continuous coordination with the competent authorities since the beginning of the pandemic.

The meeting was attended by members of the committee, Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, Mohammed Al-Naqbi, Mabkhout Al-Hajri, and Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sayed as the committee's rapporteur.
